You don't always need more leads.
You need more from the leads you already have.
How Brett Davison went from building bids and renderings on nights and weekends to a sales system that closes at the kitchen table, and why he built it for your team.

“RenderBid is the in-home sales system I always wished I'd had.”
What happens after your salesperson walks through the door?
If you own a home improvement company, let me ask you something.
How much money are you spending every month to get your salespeople in front of homeowners? And how much opportunity is slipping away because your team isn't closing as many of those appointments as it could?
Think about it. You spend thousands of dollars generating leads. You pay people to answer the phones, schedule appointments, and send sales reps into homes. You invest in training, marketing, and building a company homeowners can trust.
But when your salesperson gets to that kitchen table, what happens next?
- Can they accurately price the project while they're sitting with the homeowner?
- Can they show a realistic picture of what that homeowner's house could look like when the project is finished?
- Can they help the homeowner visualize upgrades, compare options, and understand the value of their investment?
- Can they turn a one-party appointment into a conversation that includes both decision-makers?
- Can they bring everything together into a professional proposal and signed agreement before leaving the home?
Because if they can't, there's a good chance another contractor will.
I've spent nearly fifteen years selling home improvements, running thousands of appointments, and generating more than $50 million in sales.
And here's something I learned along the way:
Getting more leads isn't always the answer. Sometimes the biggest opportunity is getting better results from the leads you already have.
That's where the idea for RenderBid began.
I didn't set out to build a software company.
I set out to become a better salesperson.
I wanted to sell more siding, windows, and decks. I wanted to sell them faster, more efficiently, and with fewer cancellations. And I wanted to spend more time with my wife and kids.
I kept thinking about what would happen if I could walk into a homeowner's house, build their project with them, price it accurately, and then show them a realistic picture of exactly what their home could look like when we were finished.
Not tomorrow. Not after I got back to the office. Right there. During the appointment.
I believed that if I could do those things, I could:
- Get an edge on my competition.
- Increase my closing percentage.
- Get more same-day decisions.
- Turn more one-party appointments into two-party decisions.
- Increase my average job size.
- Reduce cancellations.
- Spend less time preparing bids and renderings after appointments.
- And most importantly, get more of my time back.
I wanted to sell more, sell better, sell faster, and get more of my life back.
The problem wasn't that I wasn't working hard enough.
I was working too much.
I was spending my evenings and weekends creating bids, preparing proposals, and building renderings in HOVER. Hours and hours of work. Time I should have been spending with my family.
And despite all that extra effort, I wasn't giving homeowners a dramatically different buying experience than the other contractors they had invited into their homes.
- I was still asking homeowners to imagine what their finished project would look like.
- I was still spending time after appointments putting everything together.
- And I was still competing against contractors who could come in after me and make their own presentation.
I didn't want to work harder. I wanted a better system.
I went looking for the software I needed.
But I couldn't find it.
There were programs that could estimate jobs. Others could create renderings, build proposals, or collect signatures. Some could accomplish pieces of what I wanted. But I couldn't find one simple system that brought everything together the way I wanted to sell.
So I decided to create it. And that's what makes RenderBid different.
RenderBid wasn't dreamed up in a software company's conference room by people trying to figure out how contractors sell.
It was built from the perspective of the guy sitting at the kitchen table.
Someone who's spent nearly fifteen years in homeowners' living rooms, answering objections, presenting prices, competing for business, and asking for the sale.
I didn't want more software to learn. I wanted a better way to sell. A simple, repeatable in-home sales system designed to make selling easier by making homeowners want to buy.
Because when homeowners help build their project, see what it could look like on their own home, understand the investment, and fall in love with the possibilities, selling becomes less about convincing someone to buy and more about helping them buy something they already want.
That's the difference. That's RenderBid.
Show them what they're buying. Not just what it costs.

Siding: built with the homeowner, shown on their own home.

Decks: built with the homeowner, shown on their own home.
When homeowners can see what they're buying, understand the investment, and participate in building their own project, something changes. They're no longer trying to imagine the finished product. They're looking at it.
They're no longer wondering whether they should add shake siding to the gables, incorporate woodtone accents, add stone to the front of their home, or include the garage door in the transformation.
Adding a lighting package or a pergola to a new deck shouldn't be left to the homeowner's imagination, or decided based on a number on a piece of paper. Show them what it could look like on their own home.
Because when homeowners can actually see the transformation, something powerful happens. Instead of wondering whether an upgrade is worth the money, they start imagining themselves enjoying it.
That's how visualization can turn options into opportunities, upgrades into excitement, and excitement into bigger sales.
The appointment becomes simpler. The homeowner becomes more confident. And the salesperson has a better opportunity to earn the business right then and there.
That's the experience I wanted to create.
But somewhere along the way, something bigger happened.
What started as a way to improve my own sales appointments became something I never originally imagined.
I believe God was answering my prayers and guiding my path. I believe He gave me a gift. And I believe that gift was meant to be shared.
Because RenderBid isn't just about helping me reach my goals anymore. It's about helping homeowners, salespeople, and contractors reach theirs.
Homeowners deserve a better buying experience. They deserve to see what they're buying, understand their investment, explore their options, and make decisions with confidence.
Salespeople deserve tools that help them succeed. Tools that make their jobs easier, help them close more sales, and give them more time with the people they love.
Contractors deserve a sales system that helps their teams perform more consistently, make the most of their marketing investment, and deliver an experience that sets their company apart.
That's what RenderBid was created to do.
What if your entire sales team could deliver that experience?
Imagine your salespeople walking into appointments with a simple, repeatable system. One that guides them from the first conversation with the homeowner all the way to a signed agreement.
- 1CustomerCapture the customer's information.
- 2ProjectBuild the project together.
- 3VisualizationShow the homeowner a realistic visualization of their finished home.
- 4InvestmentPresent the investment and available options.
- 5ProposalCreate a professional proposal.
- 6AgreementComplete the agreement.
- 7Sign & SendSign and send.
All in one system. During one appointment.
- No more jumping between multiple programs just to build an estimate, create a rendering, prepare a proposal, and get a signature.
- No more unnecessary hours of work after the appointment.
- And no more relying entirely on your best salesperson's individual process to deliver a great buying experience.
RenderBid was built to make a better sales process easier to follow, easier to repeat, and easier to scale.
Not to replace the salesperson. To help every salesperson become more effective.
Think about what that could mean for your company.
You wouldn't necessarily need more leads to start seeing better results. You'd be getting more from the opportunities you already have.
That's the opportunity I saw as a salesperson. And it's the opportunity I want to share with contractors.
We're not looking for every contractor.
I'm not interested in convincing every contractor in America to change the way they sell. If you're happy doing things the way you've always done them, that's great.
But
- If you want an edge on your competition…
- If you want to increase your closing percentage and average job size…
- If you want more same-day decisions, fewer cancellations, and a better buying experience for your homeowners…
- If you want your salespeople to be more productive and spend more time with their families…
You're exactly who we built RenderBid for.
I know what it's like to sit at that kitchen table.
I know what it's like to lose a sale you should have won.
I know what it's like to spend your evening preparing a bid when you'd rather be home with your family.
And I know what it feels like to wish you had a better way.
RenderBid is the in-home sales system I always wished I'd had. Now I'd love to share it with you.

Get an edge on your competition before they get an edge on you.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I'd love the opportunity to connect with you, either online or in person, and personally show you what RenderBid can do for your business.
Let's spend a little time together. I'll show you how it works, how your salespeople can use it, and how it could change the way your company sells home improvements.
After all, the only thing you've got to lose is a job to a contractor who already booked theirs.
RenderBid. The Software That Sells.
